My pet needs to go to the vet. Can you take her?
We currently do not offer pet taxi as a stand alone service to new pets.
All pet sitting clients are transported to the vet in an emergency.
For non emergency visits, this service is offered on an as needed basis
Do you have experience with rare or exotic pets?
Yes! The only service we will not perform is live feeding for snakes. We have had clients feed before they leave and upon arrival home. All other care is performed.
How many dogs can you walk at once?
For the health and safety of our clients, we only walk one household at a time. This has included up to 5 dogs together, but 1-3 is preferred.
My cat doesn't need much. Can you come every few days or every other day?
No, daily visits are required for all pets. Cats are actually very social creatures and require a lot of human interaction! They also fall ill very quickly, hiding it for much of the onset of illness, and finally showing signs when it's imperative that they receive immediate care. Also, you'd be quite surprised that although cats seem like solitary creatures, they find comfort in quiet companionship and often thrive with more interaction!
I can also tell you stories of cats knocking lamps over, nearly causing a fire, landlords or family members closing access to the litter boxes, and cars hiding in places they couldn't get out of.
There's countless reasons for daily visits, and we deeply care about your kitties!
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, upon request. Cash, checks, Venmo and PayPal are preferred. Master Card, Visa and back transfers can be initiated through our QuickBooks invoicing.
How soon do I have to book?
As soon as possible! Some dates just book up quickly, and it goes double for all major holidays! Don't be caught in the dreaded last minute shuffle.
If you aren't sure about your dates, and you are not a current client, book your meet and greet anyway. Clients that are already in the system are much more likely to be able to slide into the schedule. We must meet all clients and pets prior to service, so this makes things go much quicker and smoother.
Why use a professional pet sitter?
There are so many reasons to use a professional pet sitter over a friend, family member, kid down the street, app service or that stranger looking to make a few extra bucks.This is our chosen career. We take your pets needs seriously. Not only is our reputation on the line, we genuinely want to make you and your pets happy. It's why we started our business to begin with! Would those other options know what to do in an emergency? Would they know signs to look for in an ill pet to catch something before it gets worse or is fatal? Would they decide something else was more important than coming to care for your pet? App services do not thoroughly screen and train the people the send you your home. They also do not provide adequate insurance coverage, and though they suggest it, they do not require the person coming to your home to be independently insured. In the event something goes wrong, there are numerous news stories to be found that prove you are on your own.We are insured and bonded, background check verified, pet CPR and first aid trained routinely, hold Pet Sitters International's Pet Sitting Certification and constantly working on continuing education to best serve our clients.
