Cat Sitting and Small Pet Care

Cats require a more specialized type of care than other pets. If you're looking for "catcentric" care for your precious kitty, you've come to the right place. Beyond the basics, cats will be talked to, played with, brushed and listened to. Some cats require more than others, and some cats just like knowing someone is there for their needs. Regardless of your animal’s type, age or mannerisms, our services can be customized specifically for them. Policies and Procedures

To become familiar with our policies and procedures and to ensure your complete understanding, we have included the following information for your review.

PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT  

Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice, and required in full prior to our first visit. We currently accept cash, checks, Venmo and PayPal as payment for our services. Credit Card is available, but not preferred, due to extra fees. Daily dog walking clients will receive an invoice that is emailed weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or at time of service.  This will be determined prior to start of service. Hard copies of bills can also be provided by request. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice. Late payments are subject to penalties and may result in suspension of service.


Payment instructions are included on your emailed invoice, or you may mail a check, made payable to Sit! Stay. Relax.., LLC, at P.O. Box 281 Seekonk, MA 02771.   


HOURS OF OPERATION

All visits are discussed and times established prior to service. All visits requested by a certain time, are scheduled and guaranteed within a 2 hour block.


Overnight care typically begins around dinner time and extends through breakfast time, or similar 12 hour period. (for example, 7pm through 7am)


Morning visits occur between 6:30 and 10:00 a.m. Midday visits/walks occur between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Evening visits will be between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Bedtime visits are between 8-10:30 p.m.  If your pet has a specific medical or training need, please let us know so that we can ensure coverage at specific times.


For vacation pet care, we require that cats are visited a minimum of every 24 hours and dogs are visited a minimum of every 7 hours.


RESERVATIONS

When making a reservation, please be advised that your request is not confirmed until you receive a return email from us.  Since there is always a chance for unforeseen technical difficulties, if you have not received a response from us within 24 hours of your request, please call us.  We pride ourselves on being very prompt in responding, so if you do not hear from us, we did not receive your request.


CANCELLATIONS
For new clients, payment in full is due at the time of reservation to secure your dates.  For vacation clients: If you need to cancel within 7 days or fewer of a start date, 75% of your payment will be refunded.  If you need to cancel within 3-6 days of start date, 50% of your payment will be refunded. All payments will be forfeited for cancellations that take place less than 2 days prior to your start date.  Daily dog walking clients must cancel at least 24 hours in advance or full charge will be applied to your bill for the visit. Sit! Stay. Relax.. reserves the right to alter this as needed based on client schedule and possible abuse of service, per our discretion.


CONFIDENTIALITY

We highly respect your privacy.  Therefore, we will not, at any time, disclose or communicate any information that we obtain during the course of caring for your pet(s) to anyone without your written permission.  This includes divulging the dates and/or nature of your travel or relationship with Sit! Stay. Relax..., LLC Pet Concierge. This also includes any information about you, your pets or your home.


HOLIDAYS

Owning a pet should always be a pleasure, and you should never have to struggle to find responsible and professional care for your pets.  Sit! Stay. Relax..., LLC Pet Concierge will continue to provide most services for no additional fee on all federal holidays. Due to the fact that we do not charge extra on holidays, we have limited availability.  Therefore, we strongly encourage you to book early! Clients currently under contract will receive priority treatment, and every effort will be made to accommodate you.


FRIENDS AND FAMILY ACCESS We understand that your friends and family members may want to check in on your pets while you are away.  However, we must know the names of those individuals, as well as the dates and times that they are expected.  This is for your own protection as well as our own safety. If we find an unexpected person in your home, we will leave the premises immediately and report our finding to the local authorities.  


Additionally, Sit! Stay. Relax..., LLC Pet Concierge is not responsible for any damages incurred to your home or to your pet during any time period when someone, who is not an authorized associate of our company, accesses your home.


PERSONAL SHOPPING FEES

There will be a $20 minimum, per half hour, errand fee, if Sit! Stay. Relax..., LLC Pet Concierge needs to pick-up supplies to provide basic care for your pet. Please remember to leave adequate food, litter, treats, etc. for your pet’s needs. More is better!


LAST MINUTE SERVICE

Last minute surcharges may be applied per our discretion.  (Our fees are $20 for clients with a key on file. Clients with no key on file are responsible for the last minute fee, plus key pickup fee.)  We realize that “life happens” and last minute service is sometimes needed. Our goal is to help you when you need it most, even at the last minute. When booking via email or leaving a voicemail, please do not assume that we have received your request until you have received a confirmation e-mail or return phone call.  


KEYS

Sit! Stay. Relax..., LLC Pet Concierge will obtain two copies of your key(s) at the time of your initial consultation.  If you desire, we will return your keys in person within 20 days of receiving written notification. One time key return is free. Every subsequent key pickup and drop off are subject to $15 fee. If you require the keys to be delivered sooner, there will be a $5 additional key drop-off fee, and you or your designee must be available to receive the keys and sign for them.  We do not leave keys in hidden locations on your property and will not mail them to you unless we send them via certified mail with signature required. (Mailing fees are $15.) Your keys, while in our possession, will be kept locked in a safe place with double-blind coding used to identify them.


A copy of parking / security passes and building access cards/fob MUST be presented to the pet care provider during your registration meeting.  For the safety of your pets, Sit! Stay. Relax..., LLC Pet Concierge will not service clients who are unable to provide full access to their unit or building.   


UNSECURED PETS

Free roaming cats and dogs are defined as those who are left out in the yard unattended as well as those with uncontrolled indoor/outdoor access via special pet doors.  Due to the risk of injury or loss involved in these situations, Sit! Stay. Relax... Pet Concierge does not provide service for free-roaming pets. Sit! Stay. Relax… is not responsible for the care and safety of any pets not located in the home. Horses, and other farm animals must have suitable and secure barn accommodations.


SECURED AREAS

It is the pet-owner’s sole responsibility to pet-proof any areas of the home and/or property to which the pet has access. This includes thoroughly inspecting fences, gates, latches, doors and other devices meant to keep the pet inside or away from any forbidden areas.  Sit! Stay. Relax... does not assume responsibility and has no liability for any injuries the pet may sustain while in its own home, outside of neglect by pet sitter.

All dogs must wear a properly fitted collar with ID/contact information tags.


SAFE ACCESS

It is the pet-owner’s responsibility to provide safe access to their home (i.e., clearing driveways, walkways, sidewalks, steps and porch during the winter, or fallen trees, poles, etc.). Sit! Stay. Relax…will not provide service to any home that is not safely able to be accessed. Client will be charged for the visit as scheduled, and will be subject to additional visit fee when sitter is notified of clear access. It is clients responsibility to notify sitter when clear access is provided. Sitter will return to tend to pet(s) at their earliest availability or next scheduled visit.

Sit! Stay. Relax… Is not responsible for damage to your home or property, or illness or injury to your pets due to delay or cancellation of visits in the event of inability to safely access your home or property.

Nancy from Sit, Stay, Relax is SIMPLY THE BEST THERE IS. Hands down. I'm not even exaggerating. My pup has had 5 different long-term dog-walkers in his time and none of them come close to what Nancy has been to us. Griffey is an 8 lb ball of anxiety and energy and he absolutely adored Nancy. Whether it was a mid-day walk, an overnight, a vacation stay, or a last minute potty-break --- she was always available, quick to respond, accommodating of last minute changes, left the sweetest notes, and most importantly - loved Griffey. She's certified in all the things and I even found myself asking her for tips and tricks and whether or not something required a vet visit or not. I always felt supported by Nancy and she quickly became part of Griffey's family. The hardest part about leaving Providence and moving back to New Orleans was giving up Nancy! If you're looking for a dog walker or any of the other services she provides, reach out right away before she's too booked to say yes. Nancy is absolutely the best!

What Do You Want to Know?

How many dogs can you walk at once?

For the health and safety of our clients, we only walk one household at a time. This has included up to 5 dogs together, but 1-3 is preferred.

My pet needs to go to the vet. Can you take them?

We currently do not offer pet taxi as a stand alone service to new pets. All pet sitting clients are transported to the vet in an emergency. For non emergency visits, this service is offered on an as needed basis

Do you have experience with rare or exotic pets?

Yes! The only service we will not perform is live feeding for snakes. We have had clients feed before they leave and upon arrival home. All other care is performed.

What is your experience, and what is CPPS?

I grew up on a small farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, roosters, rabbits, goats, birds and mice. I began tending to their needs and care as soon a I could pick up a brush, and eventually, a wheelbarrow! As kids, my sister and I were fully responsible for all of the animals feeding, cleaning, and managing all of their care. We both were members of United States Pony Club, Nancy achieved a C-1 rating and Aimee achieved an A rating, the highest available.
When I began Sit! Stay. Relax... I wanted to make sure I was prepared with the knowledge and expertise to best care for your pets. We joined Pet Sitters International in 2006, and when they introduced their Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) certification program in 2012, immediately took the exam. This certification requires a broad coverage of knowledge for all pets we may encounter, as well as adhering to a strict code of ethics.
